An evening with the poetry
of Rilke
Thursday - JULY 24th

7:00 - 8:30 pm
with Dr. Mark Burrows
The same day beckons us to open ourselves to the wonder of life, in all its contradictions and confusions, to “believe in nights,” as the poet puts it, and trust that “beauty’s the meaning of all being.” Our search for beauty is the only path that will finally save us.
Join us as we explore Rilke’s poems as an invitation to “live the questions” and delight in the search for
the God.

Dr. Mark Burrows is a writer, and scholar, and currently serves on the faculty of the University of Applied Sciences in Bochum, Germany where his courses explore poetry and the literature of mysticism.
Dr. Burrows writes regularly for the spirituality journal Weavings, and currently serves as poetry editor for Spiritus: A Journal of Christian Spirituality. and a practicing poet.
