March 5 and 6
Friday Evening 7:00 - 9:00 PM and Saturday 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
“Jesus, Easter and Pentecost in a New Universe Story.”
Facilitator: Michael Morwood
Traditional Christian understanding of Jesus, Easter and Pentecost is articulated in a dualistic
worldview which has a flat earth as the center of creation, an overseeing deity “sending” his son
“down” from heaven, the return of the son to heaven and the descent of God’s Spirit upon one
group of people who then claimed to have access to God’s dwelling place in heaven.
How might we understand and appreciate anew Jesus, Easter and Pentecost if we focus on a
universe permeated with the Divine Presence and honor Jesus as the revealer of that Presence
always with us - in our living and dying, in our prayer and worship, and in our bonding with all
people and with all that exists?
As a participant your faith will be deepened and renewed as never before and your personal
celebration of Easter will be enriched this year and in every year to come.
[Cost: $125 overnight. $75 commuter.]
